SEVERE WEATHER LIGHTNING POLICY
- Greenville Triumph will follow a six (6) mile minimum distance threshold from its primary and secondary venues.
- Pre-scripted announcements regarding weather delay
- The match will restart 30 minutes after the last strike within league distance of the venue, depending on field conditions.
- Once a delay has ended, the match shall resume from the moment the referee stopped the match. Teams shall be given a chance to warm-up prior to restarting the match. The following warm-up times will be followed, unless otherwise is agreed upon by both coaches.
- Ten-minute delay, five-minute warm-up
- Ten to 30-minute delay, ten-minute warm-up
- 30 to 60-minute delay, 15-minute warm-up
- Over 60-minute delay, 20-minute warm-up
CODE 1000 – ACTIVE SHOOTER/EMERGENCY STADIUM EVACUATION
1. In case of terrorist emergency, the team President will make the decision on evacuation.
2. Should an evacuation be necessary; the President is to contact emergency personnel as required for the incident (Call 911).
3. The Director of Venue Operations is to immediately open all gates.
4. The Director of Venue Operations is to notify the Event Supervisors to get all ushers in position to facilitate a smooth and orderly exit from the seating area.
5. The is to notify on-site concessions of the evacuation and direct them to the exits.
6. The Merchandise Manager is to contact the merchandise areas and assist in securing and evacuating those areas.
7. is to ensure the evacuation loop table is in place in the audio system and played. He is then to oversee and direct the evacuation of the press box.
8. Security officers should position themselves near high traffic gates. They are to instruct fans to remain calm, walk and point them to the exits.
9. The Manager of Ticket Operations is to secure the box office and direct employees to the exit.
10. All other staff members are to position themselves throughout the stadium to direct fans to the nearest exit.
11. Any media contact during or after the event must be handled by the President or on-site emergency personnel.
12. When all fans are out of the stadium, Triumph employees should exit the stadium.
CODE 2000 – BOMB THREAT
Always refer to a bomb threat as Code 2000 in order not to alarm a member of the public who may overhear. Never discuss a call of this type within hearing of the public.
- After you realize what you have, try to keep the caller on the line if possible. Speak calmly and nicely to the caller and listen to the voice. Listen for: age, sex, accent, tone, etc. Refer the attached checklist and fill out as much as possible.
- Immediately contact Team President or the Director of Venue Operations. Keep trying until they are notified. The Team President or Director of Venue Operations will notify onsite law enforcement and will then follow their instructions.
- Refer all media inquiries to the appropriate law enforcement personnel.
IF A DEVICE IS FOUND
- DO NOT TOUCH IT! DO NOT MOVE IT! The removal of any device that is suspected as being an explosive will be left to the Greenville City Police Department Bomb Squad.
- Report the location and accurate description of the object to the Team President in person or on the phone. DO NOT USE THE RADIO!
- The Director of Venue Operations will notify the City of Greenville Police Department Bomb Squad.
- Should an evacuation be necessary, follow the evacuation procedure as established above.
CODE 3000 – ROBBERY
- In the event of a robbery or attempted robbery:
- THE SAFETY OF PERSONNEL – BOTH TRIUMPH EMPLOYEES AND GENERAL PUBLIC IS THE PRIME DIRECTIVE AND OVERRIDING, IF NOT THE SOLE CONCERN OF THE GREENVILLE TRIUMPH ORGANIZATION
- Follow the instructions of the robber
- EXCEPTION: Do not go to an isolated place with the robber, and never, get in a vehicle with the robber. If they instruct you to do so, chances are they intend to harm you.
- Do not make any quick or sudden moves. The robber is just as nervous and scared as you, a quick movement could cause them to panic
- Give the funds to the robber. Do so calmly, smoothly, and without hesitation. We want the robber out of here almost as fast as he wants to get out of here. DO NOT TRY TO BE A HERO. MONEY IS REPLACEABLE, YOUR LIFE IS NOT!
- When the robber is gone, immediately contact your immediate supervisor.
- Complete the robbery incident report as soon as possible after the robbery so that you will be better able to remember important details of the robbery.
- Never discuss the robbery with anyone other than management or the police. Management should be present when you are talking to the police.
FIELD ALTERCATION/INVASION
1. If the on-field security officer is unable to control the situation, they are to radio for backup and where they are located.
2. The Director of Venue Operations or other staff members witnessing the incident will also call for security on the field.
3. All security officers upon hearing the radio call will immediately go to the field. Officers are to prohibit any additional individuals from accessing the field.
4. As the situation is resolved the perpetrators will be escorted to a secure location where a staff member will be present and record all necessary information on the incident report.
5. A decision will be made to arrest or evict the transgressors from the stadium. A security officer will remain with the individual (s) until they are away from the stadium or arrested.
PLAYER/EMPLOYEE/FAN INJURY
1. EMS is stationed next to the video board
2. If in seating bowl, the usher in that section is to radio the Director of Venue Operations of their location and that they need medical attention.
3. If an on-field incident occurs the attending trainer is to face the medical tent and cross their arms above, their head. This signals the need for EMS technicians on the field.
4. Security is to keep the area clear from fans (if in seating bowl) and non-essential personnel if on-field.
5. The Director of Venue Operations is to complete an incident report.
