Greenville, SC – The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club has signed goalkeeper Dallas Jaye to the team’s inaugural roster, pending league and federation approval.
“Being a part of an inaugural team is a very unique thing,” says Jaye. “I have been able to do that once in my career already which was a great experience. As players, we get to build a team and a club from the ground up and pursue a vision that was expressed to us by Coach Harkes. What he sees for this club is a big part about why I am so excited to be a part of it.”
Jaye is no stranger to Head Coach John Harkes, as the 25-year-old goalkeeper spent 2016 as part of FC Cincinnati’s inaugural season with Harkes at the helm.
“Having worked with Dallas Jaye in Cincinnati, I was able to witness his everyday growth as a keeper,” said Harkes. “I followed his career with Phoenix and now we are able to bring him to our club. Dallas is a quality keeper and a solid pro and leader on and off the field.”
Before his time in the USL, Jaye spent time with FC Tucson in the Premier Development League. He was instrumental in the club’s 2013 Open Cup run, starting in all three matches. The Danville, CA native returned to Arizona in 2018 to join the Phoenix Rising of the USL.
Jaye made his international debut for Guam in 2012 and has made several appearances for the team.
“Supporters and fans can expect to see a goalkeeper who plays with passion and leads from the back,” said Jaye. “I am committed to doing everything I can this season to help our team win, both on the field and in the community.”
Jaye joins Tyler Polak, Jake Keegan, Evan Lee, Paul Clowes, Cameron Saul and Sami Guediri, Cole Seiler and Aaron Walker on the inaugural season roster.
