The Greenville Triumph will host Lansing Ignite at home on Saturday, April 6 at 7:00 pm at Legacy Early College. The two clubs will meet a total of three times during the regular season.
Home Cookin’
The Triumph come home to Legacy Early College Field for their inaugural home match, where they will begin a stretch of 3 straight matches in front of Upstate fans. The new 4,100 seat stadium has acoustics that could make for one of the toughest road environments in the league, and the team will rely on supporters and fans to help them notch their first win.
Goals
Lansing Ignite SC (1-0-0) heads to Greenville following a 3-2 win at Richmond in League One’s inaugural weekend. The Triumph (0-1-0) will look to break into the win column following a 0-1 defeat at the hands of South Georgia Tormenta FC that saw the Triumph outshoot Tormenta and lead in corner kicks with nothing to show for it. As the Triumph look for their first goal in club history, they should be in a position to convert chances against a Lansing defense that allowed two late goals to the Kickers last Saturday.
Something’s Gotta Give
Two of the league’s potential best units collide as Greenville’s defense will look to slow down Lansing’s strong attack. Triumph defender Kevin Politz made League One’s first Team of the Week and the team will look to build on a great defensive performance that allowed a lone breakaway goal on the road.
