The Greenville Triumph announced they will host a World Cup watch party for the U.S. Women’s National Team’s match against Sweden on Thursday, June 20th at Universal Joint in downtown Greenville.
The event will start at 2:30 pm on Thursday, with the match kicking off at 3:00 pm. Guests will be able to interact with Triumph players, coaches and staff, enjoy happy hour food and drink specials, purchase Triumph tickets & merchandise and participate in a raffle for Universal Joint and Triumph prizes, with proceeds benefitting Meals on Wheels of the Upstate.
“We’re excited to support our Women’s National Team as they continue what is already a historic run in France,” said Triumph Vice Chairman Doug Erwin. “It’s a great opportunity to bring U.S. fans and Triumph fans together to watch with our staff and players and to raise money for Meals on Wheels, an organization that our club is proud to work with each week to feed the Upstate.”
The match will be the final group stage match for the USWNT. The team opened their campaign by defeating Thailand 13-0, the largest margin of victory in World Cup History. They face Chile on Sunday, June 16th before taking on Sweden.
