The Greenville Triumph (3-5-4) are on the road again road following a 3-2 loss against Chattanooga, as they travel down to Florida to take on Orlando City B (3-8-3) at 7:30 pm on Friday, June 28 at Montverde Academy.
What to Watch For:
– Something Old: Triumph midfielder Paul Clowes will face off against his former team, as Clowes played with Orlando in 2017. During his time with OCB, he logged over 1,100 minutes with the club across 16 matches.
– Something New: Despite being over halfway in to the season, this is the first time that the two teams will meet. Orlando will visit Greenville two weeks from Saturday when the Triumph return home, and the clubs will meet in Greenville again September 27 as the Triumph close out their home schedule.
– Goals?: There have been numerous times this season Greenville has looked poised to break out in the scoring column, but Friday night offers their best chance to date. OCB leads the league in goals allowed by a wide margin with 24 conceded. Greenville remains top-3 in the league in shots, and coming off last week’s match against Chattanooga that saw the Triumph produce their first multi-goal effort since April 6th, tomorrow could be a big night for goals.
