Greenville, SC (March 12, 2020) – Greenville Triumph SC has issued the following statement following United Soccer League’s decision to temporarily postpone matches for at least the next 30 days, affecting the first two weeks of the 2020 regular season.
The health and safety of our fans, guests, players and staff will always be our first priority. In coordination with the USL and local health experts, we will continue to monitor developments and support the health of our community. Triumph SC will announce rescheduled matches at a later date as more information becomes available, and we will work with partners and community leaders to reschedule any appearances, events, watch parties, or gatherings of fans and staff.
“The club is engaging in conversations with local health authorities and our medical partners to evaluate the latest information in our community and heed the expert advice from the CDC, state and local health officials. When we resume games, the club will continue to ensure the safest environment possible for all fans.
In the coming days, the club will provide fans with more information about tickets for impacted home games (March 27th, April 4th, and April 7th US Open Cup match), and additional schedule dates as soon as possible.”
