Greenville, SC – Three Triumph players have earned spots on Week 12’s Team of the Week after a 2-0 win against Orlando City B. Lachlan McLean makes his fourth TOTW appearance while Alex Morrell, who has been nominated for League One’s September Player of the Month, makes his third. Former NTSC defender, Cesar Murillo, join the pair of attackers and could stand to be the first League One player to win back-to-back championships.
Cesar Murrillo (D) led all players in successful tackles with three during Triumph’s eighth shutout win of the season. He completed 75% of his passes, including 14 in the opposition’s half, and won four duels and made three clearances.
Alex Morrell (M) did a little bit of everything to push Greenville to an important win over Orlando City B. He assisted Triumph SC’s opening goal, then doubled the lead with a strike of his own. Morrell created nine chances and completed four dribbles.
Lachlan McLean (F) produced the breakthrough moment in Greenville’s win over Orlando City B with a goal in the 65th minute. He made one key pass and won seven duels.
Following the 2-0 victory at Legacy Early College on Friday night, Greenville Triumph clinched a spot in the League One Final after Forward Madison and FC Tucson played to a scoreless draw.
