Greenville, SC – With the 2020 USL League One Final Cancelled earlier Thursday due to positive COVID tests within the Omaha organization, the Greenville Triumph were awarded the 2020 League One Title for earning the highest points per game average in the league. The Triumph led the USL League One standings for the entirety of the 2020 season. The newly-crowned League One winners have made plans to celebrate their title with fans tomorrow night, as an intra-squad scrimmage and championship presentation ceremony have been scheduled at Legacy Early College for 8:00 PM.
Ticket holders for the League One Final, which was scheduled for tomorrow, October 30th at 8:00 PM, will instead be able to attend the festivities to award the League One Trophy to the club that sat atop the standings for the entire season. The event will be limited in capacity to original Final ticket holders to maintain COVID protocols. The club’s top priority is the safety of supporters, players, and staff and as such, all fans in attendance will be given temperature screenings upon entry and will be required to wear masks at all times except when actively eating or drinking.
Programming will begin at 8:00 pm with an abbreviated Triumph intra-squad scrimmage featuring the newly-crowned League One champions. Following the scrimmage, players and coaches will be introduced and awarded medals before the team gathers for the presentation of the League One Trophy. Fans will be able to hear remarks from Triumph coaches, players and ownership as they celebrate the achievements of the 2020 season.
Gates will open at 6:30 pm, with a full complement of stadium food and beverage vendors still on site. The Triumph team store will be open with 40% of all items (Final and championship merchandise excluded). A limited number of 2020 League One Champions shirts will be available on site, with online preorders beginning for additional championship merchandise.
Ticket holders who cannot or choose not to attend the ceremony may receive a refund on ticket prices (fees excluded) until Monday, November 16th. Refunds can be requested by emailing customerservice@https://www.greenvilletriumph.com or calling the team office at 864-203-0565 and pressing “1” for tickets.
