Greenville, SC – Greenville Trumph midfielder Aaron Walker was named to the USL League One’s Team of the Week for week 24 following Greenville’s 3-3 draw against FC Tucson on Sunday night.
Walker bagged his second career brace with the Triumph, opening scoring for the club in the 17th minute on Sunday night by converting a penalty kick to bring the match level at 1-1. Greenville’s co-captan struck again in the 34th minute off an assist from Andrew Booth. Walker played all 90 minutes in the contest, tallying two shots and converting 91% of his passes.
This marks the fourth Team of the Week appearance of the season for Walker, who was also named Player of the Week after Greenville’s 3-0 win over Chattanooga on September 3rd. Walker has five goals and three assists on the season across 20 matches played.
