New women’s team to compete in USL W League this summer
The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club is set to unveil the crest and branding for their new women’s team on Thursday, March 24th. The event will take place at HabiTap on Miller Rd. in Greenville starting at 6:30pm. The unveil will be the culmination of a process that began with extensive community feedback through open name suggestions and a later vote to determine a fan-favorite name as an element of the final decision.
“We’re excited to unveil a crest and brand that we think is really going to resonate with the Upstate community,” said chief brand officer Doug Erwin. “We felt it was important to give this new team a unique identity. After hundreds of suggestions and great feedback from the community, we are ecstatic about where the process ended up!”
The club plans to have merchandise for sale at the announcement and online shortly after the unveil. The team will kick off their inaugural season on May 8th in an exhibition match against SC United FC at Legacy Early College.
