WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club is back on the road after its 2-0 win over Charlotte Independence at home last weekend. The team travels to Forward Madison for the first time this season, kicking off at Breese-Stevens Field on Saturday, June 11th at 8:00 PM ET.
After a pair of wins against Chattanooga and Charlotte, Greenville jumped to the top of the USL League One table with a 4-3-2 record. Currently sitting at a three-way tie for first and only two points ahead of the sixth seed, Greenville will need to stay consistent in their play each match to keep their position in a crowded table that’s reminiscent of last year’s playoff race.
Greenville’s attack got a boost last week, as both Noah Pilato and Nico Brown rejoined rotation for the team and earned minutes in the two previous matches. Co-captain, Aaron Walker is also set to return to the lineup soon after missing last week’s match with a hamstring injury.
Forward Madison is currently sitting just under the cutoff line at 9th in the league standings. The Wisconsin team has a 2-3-4 record this season, collecting their most recent win on June 4th versus FC Tucson.
