WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club finishes its two-match road stint this Saturday, June 18th at 8:00 PM ET at Union Omaha in Papillion, Nebraska. The match marks the first time the two sides have met since Omaha’s 3-1 victory over the Triumph in the 2021 USL League One Final, also held in Nebraska.
Following a tough 3-2 loss to Forward Madison last weekend after an own goal tipped the scale in favor of Madison, Greenville dropped to fourth in the league standings with a 4-4-2 record this season.
Greenville should be faced with tough lineup decisions on Saturday and in the weeks to come, as players like Noah Pilato and Lucas Coutinho have worked themselves back into match shape after injuries. As two midweek matches loom across the next 30 days, squad rotation and keeping legs fresh will be key.
Omaha will also be faced with some tough decisions, as the important league tilt on Saturday could be the undercard in the eyes of the Omaha staff with a massive U.S. Open Cup title against Sporting KC in less than a week. Union Omaha has a 3-1-4 record this season, only playing eight league matches so far this season. The Nebraska club currently sits 6th in the standings for League One.
