Greenville, South Georgia ask fans to choose between four potential rivalry series names
Greenville, SC (March 6, 2023) – Greenville Triumph SC and South Georgia Tormenta FC are two clubs with an undeniable connection. Both franchises are integral to the fruition of USL League One, being the first two teams announced as a part of the professional league and being the two teams to play in the first-ever league match in March of 2019.
The oldest rivalry in USL League One gives the nation so much to talk about each time the teams battle it out on the field, from Greenville’s first-ever U.S. Open Cup win in 2019, to the inaugural USL League One match, to a pair of playoff semifinal matchups in the USL W League and USL League One in 2022.
With the rivalry between the two sides growing every year, Triumph SC and Tormenta SC have come together to announce four potential rivalry series name nominees and invite fans to join the Selection Committee to help select the official rivalry name between the two teams. Fans will be able to choose from the following names: Peach Derby, U.S. 25 Derby, Peach Clobber Derby or The Peachy Keen Cup.
Four Possible Options
The potential rivalry names were chosen in collaboration with both teams’ Front Offices and after consulting with Tormenta FC’s official supporters’ groups, Flight Crew and Category 5, and the Reedy River Riot, the official supporters’ group of the Triumph.

- The Peachy Keen Cup
Voting for the rivalry name will run through March 27 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with voting permitted once per day. An official name, logo, and trophy will be announced following the poll results and after consulting the supporters’ groups of both teams.
