Logo based on club’s unofficial mascot, a 1961 Triumph TR3A
Greenville, SC (June 8, 2023) – The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club is expanding on its popular Triumph car, unveiling an animated logo of the club’s unofficial mascot and launching a merchandise collection that features the new art. The Triumph car merchandise will go on sale on Saturday, June 10th.
The logo, designed in collaboration with Brandiose, features a cartoon version of the club’s custom-wrapped 1961 Triumph TR3A sports car, which was unveiled prior to GTSC’s inaugural 2019 season. The car was restored by Tommy Pike Customs in Greenville and is wrapped in a green and blue Triumph vinyl, featuring a signature tartan plaid stripe that has since been featured on club merchandise, including the Triumph secondary kit from 2021-22. The new logo shows a playful take on the British roadster, keeping the signature design of the wrap while bringing the car’s front fascia to life with two different faces.
“Our Triumph car has been such a hit with our fans since its launch in 2019,” said Triumph Chief Brand Officer Doug Erwin. “It’s been a staple at community events across the Upstate since its launch, and we’re excited to debut the next evolution of the car. We’re looking forward to seeing fans sport the new merchandise, and we’ve got even more planned for the car in the future.”
In addition to a merchandise launch, the club plans to hold a naming contest for the car later this year. The new merchandise items include a mascot summer scarf, keepsake sticker, and t-shirts for men, women and youth. The items will debut exclusively at the club’s June 10th home match against Union Omaha. Tickets can be purchased here.
