With the 2024 season on the horizon, center back Brandon Fricke has re-signed with Greenville, pending league and federation approval. A steadfast member of the Triumph backline, Fricke will look to expand his resume:
- 2020 League One Defender of the Year
- 2020 All-League honors (first-team)
- 2019, 2021 All-League honors (second-team)
- 2022 Greenvillian Humanitarian Award
- 2023 Team-voted Defensive MVP
- Fourth player to reach 100 appearances for Greenville
- Third player in League One to record a goal in each season
He will return to the club for his fifth season under new head coach, Rick Wright. Prior to arriving in Greenville, the Iowa native spent the inaugural League One season with Lansing Ignite, captaining the team to the playoffs. Fricke played his collegiate soccer at Butler, appearing in 71 matches before being drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
