Carlos Anguiano is Greenville’s newest 2024 roster addition
At just 24 years of age, Carlos Anguiano has competed for three USL Championship clubs since signing his first professional contract in 2019:
- 2019-2020 Portland Timbers 2
- 2021 Tacoma Defiance
- 2022-2023 Phoenix Rising
In addition to earning a steady starting position on the Portland Timbers 2 as a home-grown product, Anguiano was dubbed number seven on USL Championship’s 20 Under 20 list. Now, nearly five years later, the midfielder has amassed a number of statistics, including a full 90′ against the Greenville Triumph during the 2023 U.S. Open Cup. Anguiano was also a member of the 2023 Phoenix Rising USL Championship title winning team.
“He has always been a player that wants the ball and wants to facilitate possession.”
Former Portland Timbers 2 Head Coach, Cameron Knowles
The Oregon native will play his first season in League One with the Triumph. Anguiano is the first new signing from Head Coach Rick Wright.
