Match #3 Info- Greenville Triumph (GVL) at Lexington Sporting Club (LEX)
Time: 7:00 PM EST
Location: Toyota Stadium, 111 E. Campus Way, Georgetown College
Watch: CBS Sports Golazo
Club
With a less than ideal ending for its inaugural season, Lexington has brought in some added artillery for 2024. On paper the team has an impressive cast of players, but with a 1-1-1 record and first round loss in the Open Cup, they haven’t been able to put the pieces together yet. A clash marked by fresh talent on both sides, Greenville will be tested in their first regular season road match.
Players to Watch
Cameron Lancaster- The former Louisville City FC player has started and appeared in every match since signing with the club in late January. Lancaster has the tools to challenge the Triumph backline from his experience in the EPL, MLS and USL Championship. The veteran striker hasn’t netted a goal yet for the Kentucky squad but is a formidable threat for any defense.
Amahl Knight- In between the sticks, Knight returns to Lexington as one of the League’s leading goalkeepers. Currently, he sits second in the league with 10 saves in just three matches. Last season, Knight recorded 80 saves to finish second in the league in saves per 90 (3.3).
Kits
Lexington’s 2024 Home kit is simple but true to its roots. The jersey was first launched on March 4th and features bright green accents on a black base. The Nike kit is made of a textured material that mimics the white kit. Unlike their away gear, this kit includes a geometric pattern in a single panel down the front in Lexington’s green. In harmony with the all black kits, goalkeepers will don a neon all-yellow kit.
