Greenville, SC – Triumph defender Abdi Mohamed was named to this week’s USL League One Team of the Week following Greenville’s shutout victory over Ft. Lauderdale CF on Friday night. The selection was Mohamed’s third appearance of the season, and his second during Greenville’s five-match unbeaten run.
The Westerville, Ohio native played all 90 minutes in Greenville’s win, anchoring a defense that allowed six shots on goal and only one on target. Mohamed won all four of his duels, had one successful interception and four clearances.
Mohamed and the Triumph travel to Nebraska this weekend to face Union Omaha on Saturday, October 9th at 7:00 PM.
