Midfielder joins the Triumph after collegiate career at Creighton and DePaul, with USL League Two experience
Greenville, SC (August 27, 2026) – Greenville Triumph SC has signed midfielder Omar Ramadan to a 25-day contract for the remainder of the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Ramadan joins the Triumph following a collegiate career that included time at Creighton and DePaul. As a junior at Creighton in 2023, Ramadan started all 16 matches he appeared in, totaling more than 1,297 minutes. He recorded a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over his former DePaul team and scored again in a 3-2 victory over No. 7 Akron.
Prior to Creighton, Ramadan spent three seasons at DePaul, appearing in 43 matches with 41 starts. He recorded one goal and eight assists during his time with the Blue Demons.
Ramadan also gained pre-professional experience with Vermont Green FC in USL League Two, joining the club for the 2026 season and helping Vermont Green capture the league championship for back-to-back titles.
“We’ve been tracking Omar throughout the summer, and his performances in USL League Two really caught our attention,” said President Zach Prince. “He has a unique ability to recover the ball and disrupt the opposition, which is a quality we believe can be a real asset to our team. As we continued to evaluate him, we became confident that his qualities would translate well to our group. We’re excited to welcome Omar to Greenville and look forward to seeing him continue to develop with us.”
A graduate of Huntley High School, Ramadan played his club soccer with Sockers FC Chicago, where he started 73 matches and scored seven goals. He was ranked among Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 150 players for the 2020 class and was selected for an Egyptian U-20 National Team camp ahead of World Cup qualifying.
