Greenville unable to overcome early deficit on the road
Sarasota, Fl. (September 19, 2026) – The Greenville Triumph fell 6-0 to Sarasota Paradise on Saturday night after conceding four goals in the opening half.
Sarasota opened the scoring in the fourth minute through Anderson Rosa before Brendan Krueger doubled the lead in the 13th minute. Romain Gall added a third in the 42nd minute, and Sander Røed added one in stoppage time to send Sarasota into halftime with a 4-0 lead.
Greenville made three changes at halftime, bringing on Ivan Agyaakwah, Kimito Fritz and Ezra White. Agyaakwah created several opportunities early in the second half, forcing Sarasota goalkeeper Alex Sutton into saves in the 47th and 50th minutes.
Sarasota added two more goals in the second half, with Jonathan Bolanos scoring in the 54th minute before Røed found the back of the net again in the 59th minute.
Muba Nour had Greenville’s best chance of the second half in the 71st minute, but his effort was saved by Sutton. The Triumph continued to push forward late, but could not find a way onto the scoresheet.
“We cannot allow our standards to be dictated by our circumstances,” said interim head coach Joel Tyson. “It’s easy to be motivated if you’re invested in the process of coming in each day to work hard and compete as a team for each other.”
The Triumph will look to bounce back in its remaining matches of the regular season.
